This artwork by Richard Hamilton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in October this year. In the POP X Culture auction, the work Swingeing London 67 - poster, 1968 sold for GBP 2,816.00 (€ 3,233.55) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Hamilton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Epiphany in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 557,000.00 (€ 768,020.27).
