Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pet Store, Los Angeles from Adult Comedy Action Drama by Richard Prince was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction auction at Phillips in 17 - in July this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,048.00 (€ 2,765.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Prince achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Runaway Nurse in June 2021 with an auction result of HKD 93,986,000.00 (€ 10,209,316.51).

Die Arbeit Pet Store, Los Angeles from Adult Comedy Action Drama von Richard Prince wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction bei Phillips in 17 - versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.048,00 (€ 2.765,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
