Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work Femme à l’ombrelle ou La Parisienne by Robert Delaunay. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,500,000.00 – 6,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,607,500.00 (€ 3,210,662.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Robert Delaunay have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2012 the work Tour Eiffel was auctioned for GBP 3,737,250.00 (€ 4,462,375.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Femme à l’ombrelle ou La Parisienne von Robert Delaunay zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.500.000,00 – 6.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.607.500,00 (€ 3.210.662,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Robert Delaunay konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar 2012 die Arbeit Tour Eiffel für GBP 3.737.250,00 (€ 4.462.375,53) versteigert.
