Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Christies in New York held the auction Art of Collecting: A Pacific Island Connoisseur of Art and Design, which included the work One Through Zero by Robert Indiana. The price achieved of USD 289,800.00 (€ 266,556.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Indiana achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Love in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 3,495,000.00 (€ 3,086,637.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Art of Collecting: A Pacific Island Connoisseur of Art and Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit One Through Zero von Robert Indiana zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 289.800,00 (€ 266.556,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Indiana erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Love im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.495.000,00 (€ 3.086.637,82).
