Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of USD 17,850.00 (€ 17,050.34), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Mapplethorpe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self-Portrait in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 548,750.00 (€ 625,682.41).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 17.850,00 (€ 17.050,34) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Mapplethorpe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Self-Portrait im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 548.750,00 (€ 625.682,41).
