This artwork by Robert Nava achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in March last year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work Sylvia (87 Sylvia) sold for GBP 176,400.00 (€ 209,142.05) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Nava - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Before Minotaur, which sold at auction in October last year for GBP 639,600.00 (€ 745,126.92).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Nava erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Sylvia (87 Sylvia) für GBP 176.400,00 (€ 209.142,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Nava mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Before Minotaur beobachtet, die im Oktober letzten Jahres für GBP 639.600,00 (€ 745.126,92) versteigert wurde.
