Signed in pencil and numbered 31/300. Screenprint in colours on board folded into a three-dimensional pyramid. Published by the artist, printed by Fine Creations, Inc., New York. Height 38 cm, length 50 x 50 cm. According to the artist, only 50-100 copies were made in the edition.
Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work "Pyramid" by Roy Lichtenstein was auctioned at Bukowski in December this year. Here, the upper estimate of SEK 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for SEK 38,000.00 (€ 3,418.01). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roy Lichtenstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nurse in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 95,365,000.00 (€ 90,290,664.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit "Pyramid" von Roy Lichtenstein kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bukowski zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von SEK 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für SEK 38.000,00 (€ 3.418,01) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roy Lichtenstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nurse im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.365.000,00 (€ 90.290.664,65).
