It achieved a price of USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,527.48), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roy Schatt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work James Dean, 1954, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,342.22).

Die Arbeit Marilyn Monroe at the Actor's Studio, New York; and Steve McQueen von Roy Schatt kam im Mai 2020 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.805,00 (€ 2.527,48) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Für andere Arbeiten von Roy Schatt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit James Dean, 1954 beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.342,22) versteigert wurde.
