Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sin Título by Rufino Tamayo was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 35,280.00 (€ 28,932.26). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rufino Tamayo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work America in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 6,802,500.00 (€ 5,358,830.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sin Título von Rufino Tamayo kam im Mai 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 35.280,00 (€ 28.932,26) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rufino Tamayo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit America im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.802.500,00 (€ 5.358.830,94).
