The work Cara blanda con huevo y angel by Salvador Dalí was sold in the The Art of the Surreal auction at Christies in London in February 2001. The price achieved of GBP 421,750.00 (€ 660,781.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 350,000.00 – 450,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salvador Dalí achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Paul Éluard in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 13,481,250.00 (€ 15,879,784.58).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 421.750,00 (€ 660.781,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 350.000,00 – 450.000,00 angegeben worden.
