Auction result well in line with expectations
The work White Top by Shi Wei was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. The price achieved of HKD 15,000.00 (€ 1,714.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shi Wei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sisters No. 6, which sold at auction in April last year for HKD 37,800.00 (€ 4,570.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit White Top von Shi Wei kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 15.000,00 (€ 1.714,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Shi Wei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sisters No. 6 beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für HKD 37.800,00 (€ 4.570,30) versteigert wurde.
