Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2005 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Elephant by Eduardo Paolozzi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,240.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eduardo Paolozzi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Table Sculpture (Growth) in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 178,073.96).
