Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Loops & Curves by Sol LeWitt was auctioned at Phillips in 17 - in July this year. It achieved a price of USD 6,985.00 (€ 6,338.48), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sol LeWitt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wavy Brushstrokes in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 449,000.00 (€ 636,531.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Loops & Curves von Sol LeWitt kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Phillips in 17 - zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.985,00 (€ 6.338,48) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sol LeWitt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wavy Brushstrokes im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 449.000,00 (€ 636.531,19).
