Auction result misses estimated price range
In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of Today - Mushrooming by Stickymonger for HKD 292,100.00 (€ 34,201.92). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale at Phillips in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Stickymonger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Strawberry Stalkers - Happy Together in July last year with an auction result of HKD 1,638,000.00 (€ 204,388.75).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait of Today - Mushrooming von Stickymonger für HKD 292.100,00 (€ 34.201,92) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stickymonger auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Strawberry Stalkers - Happy Together im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.638.000,00 (€ 204.388,75).
