Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Shanghai Poly Grand Theatre (4 Works) by Tadao Ando for HKD 87,500.00 (€ 9,875.92). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Asia: Hong Kong Edition at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Tadao Ando have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Tea House in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 110,000.00 (€ 72,430.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Shanghai Poly Grand Theatre (4 Works) von Tadao Ando für HKD 87.500,00 (€ 9.875,92) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Hong Kong Edition bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tadao Ando auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Tea House im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.000,00 (€ 72.430,37).
