Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tauba Auerbach achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2021. In the The Macklowe Collection auction, the work Untitled (Fold) sold for USD 1,835,000.00 (€ 1,625,764.15) - well above the upper estimate of USD 700,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Tauba Auerbach; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled (Fold) sold at auction in October 2015 with the realized price of GBP 1,426,500.00 (€ 1,995,317.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tauba Auerbach erzielte im November 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Macklowe Collection wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Fold) für USD 1.835.000,00 (€ 1.625.764,15) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 700.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Tauba Auerbach; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Untitled (Fold) im Oktober 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 1.426.500,00 (€ 1.995.317,20).
