Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cast by Thérèse Oulton was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,352.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thérèse Oulton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lacuna, which sold at auction in December 2010 for USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,362.50).

Die Arbeit Cast von Thérèse Oulton kam im Juni 2000 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.115,00 (€ 3.352,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Thérèse Oulton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lacuna beobachtet, die im Dezember 2010 für USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.362,50) versteigert wurde.
