The work Zycles 6021 by Thomas Ruff was auctioned at Sothebys in Cologne in November 2021. It achieved a price of EUR 69,300.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Ruff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jpeg pt01, which sold at auction in March 2017 for GBP 197,000.00 (€ 230,864.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Zycles 6021 von Thomas Ruff kam im November 2021 bei Sothebys in Köln zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 69.300,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Ruff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jpeg pt01 beobachtet, die im März 2017 für GBP 197.000,00 (€ 230.864,55) versteigert wurde.
