Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary Day Auction, which included the work Good Bye Brother by Tom Sachs. The price achieved of GBP 52,920.00 (€ 61,477.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tom Sachs have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tiffany Value Meal in May last year with an auction result of USD 302,400.00 (€ 281,800.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Good Bye Brother von Tom Sachs zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 52.920,00 (€ 61.477,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tom Sachs auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tiffany Value Meal im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 302.400,00 (€ 281.800,39).
