Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tschabalala Self could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction, the work Mista & Mrs. changed hands for HKD 756,000.00 (€ 88,712.87) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,800,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tschabalala Self have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Princess in February 2020 with an auction result of GBP 435,000.00 (€ 504,165.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tschabalala Self konnte im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale wechselte die Arbeit Mista & Mrs. für HKD 756.000,00 (€ 88.712,87) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.800.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tschabalala Self auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Princess im Februar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 435.000,00 (€ 504.165,99).
