Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Crucifixion by Vicente Silva Manansala was sold in the Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 3,000,000.00 – 5,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 3,460,000.00 (€ 372,521.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vicente Silva Manansala - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tiangge (Market Scene), which sold at auction in November this year for HKD 8,190,000.00 (€ 961,056.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Crucifixion von Vicente Silva Manansala wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 3.000.000,00 – 5.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 3.460.000,00 (€ 372.521,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Vicente Silva Manansala mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tiangge (Market Scene) beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für HKD 8.190.000,00 (€ 961.056,11) versteigert wurde.
