Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Eventail du poète by Victor Brauner was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in October 2021. The price achieved of EUR 436,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Victor Brauner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Indicateur de l'espace, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 945,000.00 (€ 880,626.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Eventail du poète von Victor Brauner kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 436.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Victor Brauner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Indicateur de l'espace beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 945.000,00 (€ 880.626,22) versteigert wurde.
