Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition by Victor Vasarely was sold in the Contemporary Passions auction at Sothebys in Cologne in November 2021. The price achieved of EUR 1,512.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Vasarely achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Altaï Iii in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 565,250.00 (€ 630,588.93).
