Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work Fleurs Dans Un Verre by Vincent van Gogh. The price achieved of USD 16,007,300.00 (€ 13,743,710.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 14,000,000.00 – 18,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Vincent van Gogh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Verger avec cyprès in November last year with an auction result of USD 117,180,000.00 (€ 113,513,513.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fleurs Dans Un Verre von Vincent van Gogh zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 16.007.300,00 (€ 13.743.710,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 14.000.000,00 – 18.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vincent van Gogh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Verger avec cyprès im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 117.180.000,00 (€ 113.513.513,51).
