Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Madonna Und Kind (Madonna And Child) by Wassily Kandinsky was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2020. The price achieved of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 52,982.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wassily Kandinsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bild Mit Weissen Linien (Painting With White Lines) in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 33,008,750.00 (€ 37,590,807.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Madonna Und Kind (Madonna And Child) von Wassily Kandinsky wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 52.982,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wassily Kandinsky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bild Mit Weissen Linien (Painting With White Lines) im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.008.750,00 (€ 37.590.807,66).
