Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Sans Titre (Femme Cheval) by Wilfredo Lam. Here, the upper estimate of USD 250,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 252,000.00 (€ 206,659.01). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilfredo Lam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Omi Obini in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 9,603,800.00 (€ 8,551,153.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre (Femme Cheval) von Wilfredo Lam zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 250.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 252.000,00 (€ 206.659,01) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilfredo Lam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Omi Obini im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.603.800,00 (€ 8.551.153,06).
