This artwork by William James Glackens achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. In the Two Centuries: American Art auction, the work Bouquet with Poppy sold for USD 40,320.00 (€ 34,903.05) - well above the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William James Glackens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Café Lafayette (Portrait of Kay Laurell) in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 792,500.00 (€ 699,902.85).

Dieses Kunstwerk von William James Glackens erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Two Centuries: American Art wurde die Arbeit Bouquet with Poppy für USD 40.320,00 (€ 34.903,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William James Glackens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Café Lafayette (Portrait of Kay Laurell) im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 792.500,00 (€ 699.902,85).
