This artwork by William Klein achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in November last year. In the Photographies auction, the work School Out, Dakar, 1963 sold for EUR 27,720.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Klein have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Smoke And Veil, Paris, 1958 (Vogue) in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 114,068.44).

Dieses Kunstwerk von William Klein erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographies wurde die Arbeit School Out, Dakar, 1963 für EUR 27.720,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Klein auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Smoke And Veil, Paris, 1958 (Vogue) im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 114.068,44).
