In the Photographies auction, the work Simone + Nina, Piazza di Spagna Rome, 1960 sold for EUR 16,380.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Klein have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Smoke And Veil, Paris, 1958 (Vogue) in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 114,068.44).

Dieses Kunstwerk von William Klein erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographies wurde die Arbeit Simone + Nina, Piazza di Spagna Rome, 1960 für EUR 16.380,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Klein auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Smoke And Veil, Paris, 1958 (Vogue) im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 114.068,44).
