Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Smoke + Veil, Paris (Vogue), 1958 by William Klein was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in April last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,968.40). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Klein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Smoke And Veil, Paris, 1958 (Vogue) in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 114,068.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Smoke + Veil, Paris (Vogue), 1958 von William Klein wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 9.450,00 (€ 8.968,40) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Klein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Smoke And Veil, Paris, 1958 (Vogue) im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 114.068,44).
