Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Coffee Cup by Yayoi Kusama was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in October this year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 228,600.00 (€ 27,644.85). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yayoi Kusama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pumpkin in April this year with an auction result of HKD 30,000,000.00 (€ 30,635,869.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Coffee Cup von Yayoi Kusama kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 228.600,00 (€ 27.644,85) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pumpkin im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.000.000,00 (€ 30.635.869,57).
