Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 21st Century Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Yayoi Kusama. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 5,796,000.00 (€ 694,714.85), 21% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yayoi Kusama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pumpkin in April this year with an auction result of HKD 30,000,000.00 (€ 30,635,869.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Yayoi Kusama zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 5.796.000,00 (€ 694.714,85) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pumpkin im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.000.000,00 (€ 30.635.869,57).
