Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Yellow Pumpkin & Red Pumpkin by Yayoi Kusama was sold in the No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year. The price achieved of HKD 9,450 (€ 1,452) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as HKD 8,000 - 12,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yayoi Kusama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Nets) in May this year with an auction result of USD 10,496,000 (€ 9,781,008).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Yellow Pumpkin & Red Pumpkin von Yayoi Kusama wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 9.450 (€ 1.452) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 8.000 – 12.000 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Nets) im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.496.000 (€ 9.781.008).
