Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Asia: Art on the Runway, which included the work Foolish Bird by Yue Minjun. The price achieved of HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,479.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yue Minjun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Execution in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,932,500.00 (€ 4,211,262.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Art on the Runway durch, in der auch die Arbeit Foolish Bird von Yue Minjun zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.479,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yue Minjun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Execution im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.932.500,00 (€ 4.211.262,96).
