Yves Klein (1928-1962) La Venus d'Alexandrie (S 41) signé de l'étoile et numéroté '169/300' (en-bas à l'arrière); avec le cachet de l'éditeur et numéroté '169/300' (au-dessous) pigment pur et résine synthétique sur plâtre 66 x 27 x 18 cm. Œuvre originale 1962 - Édition multiple posthume 1982; cette œuvre porte le numéro cent-soixante-neuf d'une édition de trois-cents exemplaires, cinquante Hors Commerce et trois exemplaires avec le monogramme de l'artiste. signed with the star and numbered '169/300' (on the bottom backside); with the editor's stamp and numbered '169/300' (to the underside) dry pigment and synthetic resin on plaster 26 x 10 5 ⁄ 8 x 7 1 ⁄ 8 in. Original artwork 1962 - Posthumous multiple edition 1982; this work is number one hundred and sixty nine from an edition of three hundred, fifty Hors Commerce and three with the artist's monogram.

In May this year Christies in Paris held the auction Art contemporain - vente online, which included the work La Venus d'Alexandrie (S 41) by Yves Klein. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 100,800.00 44% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yves Klein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Anthropométrie de l’époque bleue, (ANT 124) (Anthropometry of the Blue Period), (ANT 124)) in June last year with an auction result of GBP 27,197,000.00 (€ 31,595,177.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Art contemporain - vente online durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Venus d'Alexandrie (S 41) von Yves Klein zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 100.800,00 und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yves Klein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Anthropométrie de l’époque bleue, (ANT 124) (Anthropometry of the Blue Period), (ANT 124)) im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.197.000,00 (€ 31.595.177,57).
