Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sans Titre by Yves Tanguy was sold in the Modernités auction at Sothebys in Paris in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 180,000.00 – 250,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 189,000.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yves Tanguy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L’Extinction des espèces II in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 3,131,250.00 (€ 3,519,989.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sans Titre von Yves Tanguy wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Modernités bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 180.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 189.000,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yves Tanguy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L’Extinction des espèces II im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.131.250,00 (€ 3.519.989,38).
