Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Artcurial in Paris held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work Decayed Landscape, 2005 by Zhang Xiaotao. The price achieved of EUR 23,431.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 22,000.00 – 26,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Xiaotao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Condom Series: Enlarged Props-Crystal And Fishes 2, which sold at auction in April 2007 for HKD 504,000.00 (€ 47,190.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2006 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Decayed Landscape, 2005 von Zhang Xiaotao zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 23.431,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 22.000,00 – 26.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Xiaotao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Condom Series: Enlarged Props-Crystal And Fishes 2 beobachtet, die im April 2007 für HKD 504.000,00 (€ 47.190,04) versteigert wurde.
