Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zhao Bo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2007. In the Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan auction, the work The Wonderful Life sold for USD 28,000.00 (€ 19,691.96) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhao Bo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Frozen Planet No. 2 in April this year with an auction result of HKD 108,000.00 (€ 110,289.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhao Bo erzielte im September 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan wurde die Arbeit The Wonderful Life für USD 28.000,00 (€ 19.691,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhao Bo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Frozen Planet No. 2 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 108.000,00 (€ 110.289,13).
