Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Zhao Zhao could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Asia: Including a Collection of Works by Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita auction, the work Ping Pong changed hands for USD 20,000.00 (€ 18,340.21) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhao Zhao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Constellations No.10 (Painted In 2015) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 960,000.00 (€ 980,347.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhao Zhao konnte im September 2019 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Including a Collection of Works by Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita wechselte die Arbeit Ping Pong für USD 20.000,00 (€ 18.340,21) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhao Zhao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Constellations No.10 (Painted In 2015) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 960.000,00 (€ 980.347,83).
