From 09 to 13 February 2022, ZONAMACO México Arte Contemporáneo will celebrate its 18th edition at Centro Citibanamex in Mexico City. Divided into four sections - Main Section, ZONAMACO Ejes, ZONAMACO Sur and ZONAMACO Modern Art - one of Latin America's most important art fairs will feature more than 170 galleries and exhibitors from more than 25 countries around the world. The Main Section of the art fair presents leading international galleries with works by the most globally representative contemporary artists. It features works from the fields of painting, printmaking, sculpture, installation, video and new media. ZONAMACO Ejes represents a new section of the art fair that bases its approach on the current urgencies of art as a broader dialogue between galleries and artistic practices. At the same time, it welcomes new hybrid and transitory spaces that explore alternative dynamics of presentation and interaction with art. The ZONAMACO Sur section will feature projects from various galleries around the world, each presenting a dialogue between two artists. The focus is on showing practices from the global south. In the fourth and final area of the art fair, Modern Art, historical works by international artists with a focus on Latin America will be exhibited. Also on display here are works created primarily in the first half of the 20th century.

ZONAMACO represents the largest art fair platform in Latin America. Founded in 2002 by Zélika García, it aims to cover and promote the fields of art, design, antiques and art photography in Mexico. To this end, it organizes four events a year at Centro Citibanamex in Mexico City. Thus, in addition to ZONAMACO México Arte Contemporáneo, which brings together leading as well as emerging national and international art galleries, the fairs ZONAMACO Dieseño, ZONAMACO Salón and ZONAMACO Foto are held in parallel.Art.Salon
