28 October 2021 marks the start of ART Innsbruck, which celebrates its 25th anniversary at Olympiaworld Innsbruck until 31 October 2021. With a focus on international contemporary art and an emphasis on the movements of pop art and classical modernism, the fair presents original graphics, sculptures, photographs, installations and digital media in addition to paintings and works on paper. High-quality works by national artists such as Hans Staudacher, Markus Prachensky, Paul Flora, Eva Schlegel and Deborah Sengl will be on display, as well as international works by, for example, the South Korean Ha Haengeun or the Japanese artists' collective three. Another highlight is this year's special presentation of a collection of 50 selected works by the exceptional Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928-2000). Via the WOS Gallery from Zurich, visitors will be able to marvel at unique works and proofs by the avant-garde artist from a private collection, some of which have never been published before.

The founder and director of the ART Innsbruck International Fair for Contemporary Art of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, Johanna Penz, has been organising the event annually since 1997. In the 25 years of its existence, the fair has made a name for itself on the international market and established itself as a brand. In 2013, ART Innsbruck received a nomination for the Bank Austria Art Prize together with the associated project space artroom21.Art.Salon

London: The National Gallery

Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller is often associated with the Biedermeier period, yet his paintings—especially his landscapes, which he created outdoors from life—tell a different story. For the first time, an exhibition of the painter’s work is coming to the United Kingdom: Waldmüller: Landscapes opens on July 2 at the National Gallery in London.
