Her works are poetic glimpses of the familiar: Artist Frieda’s abstract photographs open up new perspectives and act as silent portals to other worlds. Unnoticed structures become visible, evoking memories and sparking the imagination without clear boundaries. For Frieda, an artist living in France and Germany, both her numerous travels around the world and her home on the Atlantic coast are important sources of inspiration. In natural and urban structures, she discovers stories that have not yet been told. At LOFTWERK, an open, spacious goldsmith’s workshop, gallery, and cultural event venue in Wiesbaden, she will present her new solo exhibition starting April 23. At the opening reception at 7 p.m., Frieda will present her artworks with an introductory talk. The exhibition runs through August 7.

Frieda, who is participating in the Art.Salon artist program, comes from an artistic family and began taking photographs as a child. The well-traveled artist studied literature at the Sorbonne in Paris, where her eye for narrative and atmospheric visual spaces was further refined. Music and painting shaped her environment and continue to influence her visual language to this day. Her artistic work is particularly marked by her fascination with the oceans, whose surfaces are in a state of constant flux and take on diverse forms between calm and chaos. Her award-winning work has already been featured in numerous exhibitions, including in Paris, Santa Pola, Amsterdam, Bologna, Cologne, Montreal, and at Artexpo New York.Art.Salon
