"The spectacle of the ocean always leaves a profound impression; it is the image of this infinity which attracts incessantly our thoughts and where thoughts will be lost incessantly." Mme de Stael
Hello, I'm Frieda and I am a Photo Artist living in Germany and France.
Growing up in a creative and artistic family, I received my first camera-an old Agfa Isolette with only 12 shots on a film- at the age of 9, and subsequently made initial steps into travel photography on a trip to Southern Italy. At 15 I had advanced enough to install my own darkroom in the basement of our home, focussing mainly on black and white photography. Going on to study literature at University in Paris, I continued to be passionately involved in photography, music and painting. This was mirrored in my next chosen path, where for many years I worked in the event industry organizing multiple exhibtions and concerts for international artists the world over.
My artistic work is inspired by the elements which I often encounter on my international travels or at my home at the Atlantic Ocean in France. My photographies reflect the aesthetic patterns of our natural world.
