Art fair with deliberately unusual positions
Under the motto »Discover. Connect. Collect«, the VOLTA Basel art fair will take place from June 13 to 19. Collectors will find current trends and unusual, exciting positions from Saudi Arabia, for example, at the 67 galleries from 25 countries.

»VOLTA is all about discoveries. Since I became fair director, I have wanted to support artists without a permanent gallery presence with their own section to offer new talents a platform«, says Kamiar Maleki about the art fair's orientation. VOLTA Basel is collaborating with the ATHR Foundation for the fair's first regional pavilion. Together, they will enable 10 young artists from Saudi Arabia to exhibit for the first time at an international art fair. The works have been curated with regard to the theme of "untouchability." The fair will take place this year from June 13 to 19.
A total of 67 galleries from 25 nations will be represented in Basel, presenting current art trends alongside exceptional positions similar to Saudi Arabia's. Fair director Kamiar Maleki, himself an experienced collector, has often demonstrated his keen sense for newcomers. Under the motto »Discover. Connect. Collect«, visitors can also look forward to NFT art alongside classic genres such as painting, sculpture and photography.

Staged Realities
For the first time in over 25 years, there is another major exhibition on Jeff Wall in Canada: the Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto is presenting over 50 works by the renowned artist in Jeff Wall Photographs 1984–2023. The exhibition runs until March 22, 2026.
