»VOLTA is all about discoveries. Since I became fair director, I have wanted to support artists without a permanent gallery presence with their own section to offer new talents a platform«, says Kamiar Maleki about the art fair's orientation. VOLTA Basel is collaborating with the ATHR Foundation for the fair's first regional pavilion. Together, they will enable 10 young artists from Saudi Arabia to exhibit for the first time at an international art fair. The works have been curated with regard to the theme of "untouchability." The fair will take place this year from June 13 to 19.

A total of 67 galleries from 25 nations will be represented in Basel, presenting current art trends alongside exceptional positions similar to Saudi Arabia's. Fair director Kamiar Maleki, himself an experienced collector, has often demonstrated his keen sense for newcomers. Under the motto »Discover. Connect. Collect«, visitors can also look forward to NFT art alongside classic genres such as painting, sculpture and photography.Art.Salon
