Despite intensive research, the number π still holds many secrets. The artist Korvin Reich devotes himself to π in a series of large-format drawings in which he interprets the properties of this irrational number. Reich also differentiates the limits of human perception: π confronts the fundamental need to recognize patterns and use them as orientation. Reich's drawings use the example of the circle to visualize the infinite and the random. The artist continues to play with the audience's sensory perception, as his artworks initially appear to be digitally developed graphics – given the subject matter, this would probably be in line with expectations. Reich uses simple drawing techniques to illustrate how quickly human perception can lose its certainty and become confused. The exhibition Project π is complemented on selected dates by the sound installation π – Sound of Infinity? by C. René Hirschfeld. The exhibition can be seen at the Kunsthalle Bernburg until September 28.

The artist Korvin Reich (*1970) is a poetic explorer: his drawings cover a wide range, from abstract drawings and landscapes to collage-like works and text art. He begins with the representational and then explores the invisible aspects of reality, which he gives visible form. Reich's artworks explore the limits of sensory perception and open up new perspectives on our »known« world. Korvin Reich studied fine arts at the Berlin University of the Arts and is also an award-winning poet. His anthology Weltalltag was published in 2021.

As part of the Schlossbergfest on June 14, Korvin Reich will give a personal tour of the show at 3 pm. Another guided tour by the artist will take place on Museum Night on August 22 at 5 pm. A reading will take place on September 7 at 11 am as part of the exhibition: the artist will read from the volume Weltalltag and recite new lyrical works.Art.Salon
