DIE GROSSE Art Exhibition NRW Düsseldorf, or DIE GROSSE for short, has been an integral part of the art market in Germany since 1902. This year, the country's largest sales exhibition organized by artists is presenting 184 positions. A jury selected them from over 1,200 applications. Among the exhibiting artists is Heike Weber, who is taking part in the Art.Salon artist program. She is showing three concrete wall ceramics in which she combines elementary curved forms to create space-like structures. Her sculptures have a dynamic effect, they only hint at spatial boundaries. DIE GROSSE also attracts visitors with a wide-ranging accompanying program, including performances, artist talks and a music program that begins every Sunday at 11:55 am. The sculpture exhibition in the courtyard of honor and the section THE SMALL FORMAT with small-format works of art up to a maximum of 1,000 euros are also popular. Visitors can purchase the works directly on site without the involvement of a gallery. DIE GROSSE opens on June 28 at 6 pm and can then be seen at the Kunstpalast Düsseldorf until August 3.

Heike Weber studied painting at the Freie Kunstschule Cologne and sculpture at the Bildhauerhalle Bonn. Her wall and room objects, consisting of curved shapes, are mostly made of glazed ceramic or bronze or aluminum. The heaviness of the material is dissolved in the curved, playful forms, which are used repeatedly in the style of serial work. In addition to the objects, Weber's oeuvre also includes minimalist paintings. In recent years, she has shown her work at numerous exhibitions in Zurich, Cologne, Duisburg and Schwerin, among others.Art.Salon
