Concrete art that looks playful and optimistic: Nina Pops' paintings are characterized by bright colors. Her works can now be seen in the Cut Outs exhibition at Galerie Klaus Braun in Stuttgart from February 04 to March 19, 2022. Painted surfaces, which receive their final form through cuts, are assembled on various image carriers such as canvases or aluminum panels. The image carrier visible between the forms rises to become part of the work, creating a three-dimensional impression of the image.

Born in Serbia in 1973, Nina Pops lives and works in Cologne. She has devoted herself to paper art in her search for new forms. In her opinion, cutting and drawing have great similarities: Through both actions the paper is given a form only that the former is more final.Art.Salon
