Her art is movement: Florence-born Simone Forti (*1935) is a dancer, choreographer and painter. She is a co-founder of minimalist dance, with which she sought a new body consciousness. This also found expression in Forti's expressionist drawings. The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles is now hosting the exhibition Simone Forti, which takes an in-depth look at the artist's work spanning six decades. It runs from 15 January to 2 April 2023.

Regular screenings of Forti's groundbreaking dance constructions, which she developed from the 1960s onwards, will take place as part of the show. Her piece Huddle (1961) is considered groundbreaking for performance art. The performances can be seen on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays during the exhibition.Art.Salon
