The 59th Venice Biennale begins on April 23. At the world's most prestigious art exhibition, the Ukrainian pavilion will open as planned despite the war. The artists from Russia will not participate on their own initiative.

Auction record for René Magritte
René Magritte's L'empire des lumières sold yesterday at Sotheby's for 59,422,000 British pounds. The 1961 oil painting was privately owned and was offered at auction for the first time. The previous auction record for a Magritte was around 20 million pounds.
