Giving up control of one's own artwork: In 2023, Marianne Hopf and Peter Sprang embarked on an exciting art experiment that motivated both artists to take new views on their own work. Together, they conceived and painted new pictures. Constantly reflecting on their work, they combined methods from their different artistic positions and broke new ground. In mixed media on paper, the series Pasch was created: In Marianne Hopf's landscape paintings, which combine abstract and figurative elements, the focus is on the painterly expression of indomitable natural forces and natural processes of change. Peter Sprang's mysterious figures can now be found in them, hinting at multi-layered stories with small gestures. Die Kleine Galerie Herbolzheim is showing Marianne Hopf & Peter Sprang. Painting together every Tuesday and Sunday from March 23 to April 20.

Marianne Hopf, who is taking part in the Art.Salon artist program, studied painting at the Freie Kunstschule Nürtingen and worked on several scholarships in New York and Iceland, among other places. For many years, she has presented her works of art nationally and internationally in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including several participations in NordArt in Büdelsdorf. In addition to paintings, Hopf also creates large-scale installations and art in architecture.Art.Salon
